The Birth of eControl and the First Steps
The foundations of our brand eControl, which has served in the software industry for many years, were laid in 2008. At that time, we set out with the econtrol.net infrastructure that provides management from a single center, aiming at the conveniences offered by platforms such as wix, webflow today. Our goal was to provide our customers with a user-friendly platform where they could easily manage their websites and online assets. This first version of ours was developed within the framework of the technological possibilities of that era and included basic website management, content editing and simple e-commerce features. With econtrol.net, we have served many of our customers and helped them take their first steps in the digital world. In the process, we have focused on constantly improving and improving our platform, carefully evaluating user feedback. Our early years were an important period that shaped eControl's core values and customer-focused approach.
From SaaS to Flexible Architectures: The Transformation Decision
However, over the years, we have found that when creating solutions tailored to customer needs, the SaaS structure is not ideal for every project. The more complex and customized requirements of our enterprise customers in particular have begun to push the boundaries of a standard SaaS solution. This led us to a more flexible and adaptable architecture. In 2016, we made a radical decision to bring the eControl Core structure back to today's flexible architecture. This strategic transformation has been a critical step for the future of eControl. By abandoning the SaaS model, we aimed to provide our customers with a more scalable and customizable platform that can offer solutions tailored to their projects. This decision also reflected eControl's technological vision and customer-oriented approach. During the conversion process, we have taken great care to seamlessly complete the transitions of our existing customers.
Strong Technical Infrastructure of eControl Core
eControl Core is built on a modern and powerful technical infrastructure. Developed using the PHP programming language and MySQL database, this structure offers high performance and reliability. Thanks to unlimited language support, projects developed with eControl Core are easily accessible to users in different geographies. The unlimited content type feature allows our customers to easily manage any type of content (text, image, video, audio, etc.). Thanks to the unlimited menu tree configuration, navigation structures can be easily created even for complex websites and applications. In addition, unlimited file and file type support allows our customers to upload and manage all types of files into their projects. These powerful technical features of eControl Core give our customers complete control and flexibility in their projects.
